Lets Take the Final Half Hour of Class to Write a Long Post With All the Memories Fom This Class

Wow, it's hard to believe this is pretty much the final day of class. Our exam is finished and I'm honestly going to miss this class so much, whether its taking random assignments and adding lots of fun to it, or straightening my hair with Hanna, I can say I'm actually going to miss this class. But don't worry Mr. Wrigley.. Hanna and i will be back next year taking EVERY CLASS you teach! So that means, yearbook, grade 11 commtech, photography and maybe even grade 12 commtech. I'm already looking forward to next year. Looking forward to screen printing for sure, making more Shaun the Sheep Shirts. Maybe this won't be that long of a post... yeah I think it's done now.

Final Exam Blog Post; Should Smart Phones be Allowed in the Classroom?

Yes, I do believe that smart phones should be allowed in the classrooms. They should be allowed in the class room because, with all the technical advances in the world smart phones are starting to be used by many students. There are also many benefits of having smart phones, such as having spell check whenever you need it, and access to the Internet.

First of all if students have a smart phone, they are able to use it as a dictionary, such as to see if a word is spelled wrong. So for example the students are writing a story for English, or an essay for history and they need to know how to spell a word, they can simply type it in a SMS message, and if it is spelled wrong it will be underlined. When a word is underlined you can then click on the word and it will give you proper spelling or even suggestions of similar words.

Next if students need to search something for a project or assignment and the computer lab is unavailable, they can simply go onto the web browser on the smart phone and search whatever is needed to be searched. Also say the student needed to find an important date for that history project, they can Google it.

Overall I believe that students should have the opportunity to use smart phones in the classroom because they are very useful tools, that could even help a student pass a class.

Yodeling with Bonnie..

Today we watched videos of college applications because our class is part grade 12 aswell. So Hanna, Graeme and I asked Mr. Wrigley if we could watch how to yodel with Bonnie. I suppose it really had nothing to do with this class, but then again neither does this post.. but back to those videos we watched today, one with foul language, it was rather humourous to be completely honest... so now i'm going to go back to speaking about bonnie. maybe i'll even photoshop a photo of her later on, and post it on my blog, but for now i will just post a photo of her i got off google. Yodeling with Bonnie number 1 is okay, but yodeling with Bonnie 2, and sideways yodeling... wow those are something else, like she has to cutest sweater ever? yeah not so much...

Final Post

As the end of the semester is coming close, the final exams are also coming close. So this is the last post that will be marked. So i might as well make it long, and talk about everything i've learned this semester. We have worked at all the aspects of communications technology, such as Graphic Design (notepads, shirts, buttons etc.) Photography (photoshoots in studio and around the school) Print Screening (shirts), Photo Editing (random assignments) and we are currently using video production. My group (Kristen E. Jessica M. Tylar and Hanna) did our planning sheet yesterday, and we will be shooting videos for each of the camera movements, lighting, shots and angles. Some of the shots are dolly, pan, high angle, low angle, truck, tilt and many more. And lastly but nto least we did out "filet o fish" videos. Some of my favourite memories from this class include photoshoots with Hanna, Kristen and Jess, making the filet o fish video, and using CorelDRAW.
